In order to be considered an accredited investor, you must meet one of the following criteria (for more information, please visit the SEC website):
- You have an individual income of over $200,000 ($300,000 with spouse or partner) in each of the prior two years, and reasonably expect the same for the current year. To prove accreditation status via income, you will be asked to provide the following documents prior to investing:
- You have a net worth exceeding $1 million, excluding primary residence (individually or with spouse or partner). To prove accreditation status via net worth, you will be asked to provide the following documents prior to investing:
- Statements from banks, brokerage firms including IRA or 401(k) statements, or retirement accounts dated within the last three months
- Statements displaying the value of cryptocurrency holdings dated within the last three months
- Proof of ownership for investment properties, including deeds, tax bills, and mortgages, and fair market valuations or appraisals
- Proof of business ownership via operating agreement, tax returns, or fair market valuation
- Recent credit report issued within the last three months
- You have a Series 7, 65, or 82 license holder. To prove accreditation status via Series license, you will be asked to provide the following information prior to investing:
